The Program
Connecting Math offers a supplementary digital mathematics program for children aged 5 to 12. It features hundreds of interactive activities that enable children to explore mathematics in a gamified, low-pressure environment, learning through experimentation and practice.
Students use tablets, often working in pairs, which encourages collaboration. The program integrates easily into school schedules, requiring as little as one hour per week. It supports independent learning and can also serve as a classroom presentation tool.
Unlike traditional approaches that emphasize rote learning and repetitive drills, the program promotes deep conceptual understanding. It is designed to complement, not replace, the teacher’s role, and is offered free of charge to schools and communities as part of our nonprofit mission.
Program Foundation
Connecting Math is built on the award-winning digital math activities of Matific, a global leader in math education used by millions of students in over 50 countries.
Matific has authorized Connecting Math to use its content as part of this nonprofit initiative.
While the core learning approach is the same, Connecting Math is an independent program adapted for local contexts.
Some differences from the global Matific product include:
Localization: Activities will be made available in more languages as needed.
Lighter delivery: The platform is being streamlined to be better suited for moderate internet conditions, recognizing the infrastructure realities of many schools and communities.
